Santa Lucija church was first recorded in 1575, and rebuilt from its foundations in the 1790’s; the latest enlargement taking place in 1950. Santa Luċija (Saint Lucy) is invoked by those who have problems with their eyesight.
The feast day of St. Luċija is celebrated on the Sunday closest to 13th December.
