Have you yet dived into the blue waters at San Blas? Have you snorkelled the cove of Wied il-Għasri? Have you enjoyed the idyllic beach of Ramla? Have you picnicked at the bay of Marsalforn? Ever spent the day at Ħondoq Bay or an afternoon at Dwejra Inland Sea?

The above-mentioned beaches are not even the full list of coves where you can enjoy the sea in Gozo!

Gozo might be only 67km2 but there are a lot of beaches and secret coves to enjoy. It takes a while to see them all and take a dip, so plan your holiday well to avoid being disappointed. Here’s our full list starting off with the blue-flag beaches.

Ramla Bay (Blue Flag Bay): Gozo’s iconic red sandy bay that provides hours of fun for all the family.

Ħondoq Bay (Blue Flag Bay): the bay overlooking the island of Comino. Just off this bay, lies one of Gozo’s secret coves, Bemberin.

Dwejra Bay: a unique beach from where you can also set off on a boat trip or a kayaking adventure.

Daħlet Qorrot: a tranquil spot for enjoying the beach, and close by a series of other small beaches like San Filep which are literally off the beaten path.

Ix-Xatt l-Aħmar: a favourite among divers but the beach is also very inviting.

Marsalforn Bay: the seaside resort needs no introduction

Mġarr ix-Xini: loved by the locals, Mġarr ix-Xini became widely known on the international radar after Angelina Jolie filmed ‘By the Sea’ right on this spot.

San Blas Bay: Ramla Bay’s littler sister and accessible only via a steep road but this is a very peaceful bay and amazing views.

Xwejni & Qbajjar Bay: Next door to Marsalforn are Qbajjar and Xwejni bays.  Excellent swimming spots along the salt-pans zones.

Xlendi Bay: The once fishermen’s village offers a variety of swimming areas along the coast. One interesting spot is Karolina’s Cave that is reached by climbing the flight of steps that are cut out in the cliff face on one side of the bay.

Wied il-Għasri:  An idyllic gorge for swimming and diving, nestled between steep cliffs, make this fiord-like beach a ‘real’ dream.
